Le Moteur Moderne SAS (LMM) is the French affiliate of the AVL group specialized in engineering services for powertrain development. Founded in 1951, then company has acquired considerable experience in the field of internal combustion engines (gasoline, diesel, 2- and 4-stoke, with alternative fuels, …) and transmissions, from the definition stage to the complete characterization.
LMM undertakes design and simulation. It uses state-of-the-art software for fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and structure analysis.
LMM is equipped to test and develop engines and transmissions, including combustion systems, mechanical validation, etc.
LMM undertakes contract research into all aspects of vehicle emissions (chassis dyno with exhaust gas analyzers, chemical laboratory, engine test benches).
